Cloud 9 is a support service providing top tier Support Workers for the community. All team members are dedicated in the role and have extremely high work ethics.
We are currently taking on express of interest for the role of Support Worker.

A day in the life of a Support Worker is never the same. Each client allocated will require different needs and support styles.
- Supporting individuals within the NDIS in all aspects of their life.
- Casual position with a great hourly rate
- Consistent shifts upon pairing of clients
- Location of work is dependant on which area you are living in, but it is a MUST to have willingness to drive.
- Case note duties with thorough details of each shift.
- Reporting to management on any matters relating to mental health well-being, incidents, or any behaviours of concern that may affect the client’s health.
- Supporting clients with day-to-day life duties including, self-care routine, school pick-up and drop-off, support in the kitchen, and appointments.
- Managing behaviours of concerns dependant on client’s diagnosis and history of behaviours.
- Being a positive role model and mentoring clients into having a positive mindset which may include conversations revolving around certain incidents in their life and ensuring they trust you and the support is genuine.
- Enjoying the community which may include going to the park, lunch, the cinemas, arcade, sports, and any area of interest that the client enjoys.
- Ensuring any areas of improvement is focused upon including school, social skills, building confidence, relationships with friends and families, and independence.
- Working closely with the client to manage any anxiety or distress to ensure they feel comfortable in being who they truly are or want to be.
- Non-judgemental approach when supporting with no firm and strict behaviours towards the client and enforcing them to do something that they don’t want to do.
- Working alongside other professionals (psychologists, counsellor’s, OT, etc) within the client’s team to ensure we are all working collaboratively for the client to reach their goals.
- Hygiene and presentation to be at utmost importance and it is expected that you present yourself well and in a professional manner.
- There is to be a positive attitude towards all clients no matter their situation or living style.
- NDIS Report writing for clients if required (training on report writing will be provided).
- Having a good laugh with the client and the clients family!
- Minimum experience of 6 months in being a Support Worker is desired but not necessary dependant on what qualification has been obtained.
- Qualifications in Individual Support, Youth Work, Disability, or any related qualifications.
- Able to work independently as this role is very independent as you are required to support clients on your own.
- Life-experience is necessary as you will be able to guide clients on certain issues.
- Excellent communication skills along with communicating in a timely matter if required.
- Have an extreme passion for helping people and being a vehicle of change for good.
- Be unique and bring something to the table.
- Excellent English with a great personality
- A person-centred approach whilst being a positive role model.
- Willingness to drive and have high morals and good work ethics.
